MISSION STATEMENT
Welcome to Everettzip website which has quickly became the home of the GCFL (Garden City Football League), founded in July 1993. This site is filled with stats & photos to entertain you even when I havent updated. This site isnt all about me it is about the GCFL and members thereof. So if you have any stories or ideas that "doesn't suck" & doesnt require alot of work from me, I will be more than happy to put it on here. everettzip@yahoo.com
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 15 2017 My apologies for taking so long to update. At work they have blocked many websites from the company internet including webpage domain (this site) and my personal computer at home was in the IT departments hands getting fixed. They got it finished on Monday. Therefore I havent had access until today and there was no way I was going to type all of this on a cell phone. January 3rds post has a lot of information about this years draft that I may have left out including the draft order. Franchise players are due on the 27th and if you dont remember who your players are, they are posted on the rosters page on this website. Unless all of you disagree the draft will be on September 3rd at (I assume) Zachs house again. The only person I have seen or paid since last year is Bees. We had dinner one night. Let me give a rundown of each team IN THE ORDER OF THE DRAFT! Starting with the Dolans.
ZACH WATERBOYS = have the #1 pick in this years draft. On September 3rd $29.50 will clear you of all debts and entry fees.
MARCUS MADMEN = have the #2 pick in the draft. You will owe $23.00 to clear you of all debts and entry fees.
KYLE WARRIORS = has the 3rd pick in the draft. Kyle, again youre the biggest debtor in the league. You paid me $33.00 on draft day from last year but that merely paid off most of your debts from 2015. You still owe some from some of your acquisitions in 2015, all acquisitions from 2016, entry fee from 2016, and this years entry fee. On the 3rd please bring $51.00 and you will then be caught up.
EVERETT ZIP (TRADED FROM JESSE GATORS) Now that Im re-educated on the league and the draft, Jesse and I can discuss possibly trading this pick back to him. Since this was/is maybe his pick again, I will discuss the Gators here. Jesse, last year was the 2nd time we traded this pick, this year maybe the third. According to GCFL rules if you trade away a first or second round pick you're supposed to prepay the next years entry fee. You prepaid for the first time we traded this pick in 2016 but you never prepaid for us trading this last year. Therefore you will owe for this years entry fee. For now you need to send me a check for $26.75. If we cut this trade again you will need to send me $46.75 in cooperation with GCFL rules (next years entry fee). I didnt hound you last year because you are historically quick to pay anything you owe.
McGONIGAL SUPERNATURAL = you're picking 5th. Last years acquisitions and this years entry fee means that you owe $35.00 on the 3rd.
RODNEY ROCKERS = are picking 6th. Last years acquisitions and this years entry fee means that you will owe $23.00
SHANNON STRYPES = will pick 7th. You will owe $22 on draft day.
EVERETT ZIP = My underperforming team leaves me picking the last of the non playoff teams from last year. Should I decide to pick here (can be traded away), I will be picking 8th in every round of the draft. I owe the league $24.00
MAUREO JUGGERNAUTS = will be picking 9th. Maureo won $40.00 from making the playoffs last year however...... He didnt show up for last years draft so he never paid 2016 entry fee. He still owed from a few 2015 acquisitions and now 2016 acquisitions. He will also owe for 2017 entry fee. Therefore Maureo is a whopping $9.00 in debt to the league. Hope you can still afford child support payments.
CHAD COWBOYS = are picking 10th. I met him for dinner after last years season and paid him what the league owed him. Therefore to start 2017 you owe $20.00
MATT REAL MC'S = Matt, our poor league with the measly $20 entry fees that some people still struggle paying means that you won $70 for your second place performance from last year. After your acquisitions and 2017 entry fee means that I will pay you $44.00 on draft day.
QUINN KILLERS = I ordered his trophy immediately after crowning him the champ last year. I asked him if he wanted me to mail it or wait until he came back to Tulsa sometime this year and he told me to wait. Now its been a year. Should you decide that I should mail it you will find a $71.00 check in your trophy box. You owe nothing!
TUESDAY JANUARY 3 2017 Wow I cant believe that this is 2017. I cant believe that football season is over. This next season in 2017 will mark the 20 year anniversary of the league. I never thought or planned that it would last this long. Congradulations to the Quinn Killers as they have now clinched their 3rd championship in 7 years. Theyre like Alabama in the college world while the Chad Cowboys remind me of the Oklahoma Sooners. Always find a way to choke in big games. I have to admit Im envious as I havent won a championship in a long time. I think the rule changes that we made at the beginning of this year made things better. We had no ties and everyone had to face playing for draft pick positions. Despite the playing for draft positions the order went almost like it would have even if we did it the old fashioned way. Yes I wrote down the Killers and Real Mc's twice because the order that yuou read the scores is also the order that the 2017 draft will go with Zach having the #1 pick and Quinn having the #12 pick. There were no draft pick trades this year either with the exception of the one Jesse and I made at the beginning of the season where I traded him back his #1 overall. There is a good probability that I will trade that pick away to him again this year. Im saving that pick for a rainy day. Anyway despite the GCFFL draft being 9 months away, today is the beginning of the 2017 season. This means legally you can now swap or trade draft picks again. The GCFFL Rosters have been updated on this site for next years reference. Also by tomorrow I should have the debts and money updated as well. Only one person has yet again failed to pay his entry fee on time.
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 28 2016 sorry for the belated post. and scores. I have been in Kansas and without a computer. My Football team did what happened to me every week this year, a high scorer but due to bad luck always losing to the one or two people who did better than me. Rodney beat me by .15. But we dont care about that game because it is about the real playoff teams.

PLAYOFF SCHEDULE Here are the new rules and even if you didnt vote for it everyone else did unanimously. No longer do we feel sorry for the worst teams. They have to prove that theyre still involved and losing now only drops you in the draft. The 4 worst teams play for the top 4 draft picks in every round of the draft. The 4 middle teams play for picks 5 thru 8. The top tier teams play for the championship and picks 9 and 10. The only thing that stays the same is the Championship winner still picks VERY LAST! Deciphering who plays who and where everyone is rated was much harder than usual as half of the league (6 teams) all finished at 7-8. Of those 7-8 teams theyre all in different divisions with other mixed W/L records verses pother 7-8 teams. But here is what I derived at.
#12 Marcus Madmen = This one was easy. The Marcus Madmen are clearly the worst team in the league at 5-10. This comes as no suprise as he is here or close to it EVERY YEAR!
#11 Zach Waterboys = Again an easy pick as he is the only one with a 6-9 record. Next is where it gets tough.
#10 Jesse Gators = I have him slated as the worst 7-8 team as he lost in every head to head matchup VS other 7-8 teams. His only win VS a 7-8 team was against the Rockers. However he played the Rockers twice this year and lost to him the second time.
#9 Kyle Warriors = The only confusing part is he beat the Strypes. However outside of that he has nothing. He is here because he lost to the Zip. Also he is at the bottom rung of his division. Therefore it automatically puts him beneath division rivals Supernatural and Rockers. He beat the Gators so he is above them.
#8 McGonigal Supernatural (Paper Tiger) = His season ended in losses and therefore he is here. He and Rodney both sawapped W/L Vs each other so we then have to resort to their Division records where Rodney has him beat. Rodney lost to both the division A foes so division C has to take a back seat. THe only kink the Supernatural did to make things difficult was that they beat the Strypes. Doesnt matter though because it looks like he will be playing the Strypes this week.
#7 Rodney Rockers = are here for reasons mentioned in the McGonigal Supercrapinal post. He is ahead of McGonigal in his division and he lost to both the Zip and Strypes.
#6 Everett Zip = The Zip are here because they basically beat every other 7-8 team in head to head with the exception of the Strypes. He was 1-1 VS the Strypes but because of the Strypes have a better Division W/L record, they are ranked ahead of the Zip which also explains why.....
#5 Shannon Strypes = Are ranked where they are.

The two winners of the losers brackets will then play each other for the #1 and #2 picks in every round of the draft. The losers of the losers brackets will then play for picks #3 and #4. The same thing will be done by the middle teams for picks #5, #6, #7, and #8. The two losers of the top 4 tier championship playoff teams will then fight for picks #9 and #10. The winner of the championship automatically gets pick #12 and the loser in the championship gets pick #11.
TUESDAY DECEMBER 20 2016 How strange. All of the playoff bound teams lost this weekend except for the Killers. Let me get to the final scores, standings, and playoff teams and then I will explain to you how the rest of the teams are going to go down. Remember that now everyone plays in the playoffs. Remember that how you perform in the playoffs effects where youre picking in every round of the draft. No longer are we feeling sorry for the weak teams. To the victors go the spoils.

With the Rockers and Supernatural both losing this week, it saves me from having to go find the tie breakers to decipher who is playing for the title. Right now lets address the title teams. Quinn Killers VS Chad Cowboys and Matt Real Mc's VS Maureo Juggernauts. The two losers of those games will then be playing for their draft possition like everyone else. This year is odd because even the bad teams werent that bad. It wasnt unusual for teams with losing records to beat teams with winning records. Last week the Supernatural Franchise texted the Zip franchise complaining how the Zip crushed his dreams for the playoffs. Well it wasnt only the Zip. THe lowly Madmen beat you this week proving that it is true. The McGonigal

I was out of the office yesterday, Im moving my house, and today I have been plagued with phone calls and distracting things that I almost forgot about updating until late this afternoon. TUESDAY NOVEMBER 22 2016 Time has changed everything. This last weekend I got on my bike and took it riding on riverparks trails. I went from my apartment complexo the football field at Webster, what used to be an every week trip for me. I get out on the field and only one person recognized me or knew who I was. It was Danny Polotek. I didnt know anyone else. No Shannon , Zach, etc.... were all getting old. Anyway lets get onto what you came here for.
We have much more equality in the league this year. All 4 possible playoff teams are sitting with the same record at 8-3-0. Even the bad teams in the league arent extremely terrible, meaning that no one is going to be breaking any losing records this year. The Chad Cowboys have overtaken the Maureo Juggernauts for the lead in division "B" and what was once the strongest team in the GCFL, the Matt Real Mc's is now the worst of the top 4. If Zach can't win a game like that then you already have this division wrapped up. Now the division standings haven't changed in the last two weeks and I have to say that Zachs ridiculous performance shouldn't go unpunished. I shall hereby demote you below the Cowboys in your division. I can't demote you further because the Gators simply suck! Speaking of division standings changes, the Zip have leapfrogged the Madmen and Strypes in division A moving from last place to second. TUESDAY OCTOBER 18 2016 WEEK 6 FINAL SCORES The final scores come direct from you from the Philippines in my hotel lobby. I couldnt watch any games here because they dont televise NFL games but I was bored and keeping close tabs on it via the internet and NFL.com. My team was 1-4 and underperforming but I know I have a better team than my win loss record indicates unlike the Warriors and Gators who actually do suck. Thank you for your poor performance Jesse. Youre positioning that first round pick in my favor. I cant believe that the Real Mc's are still undefeated and if there was any week he should have been shot down, it was this week. Once again thanks Jesse. Lets see if Zach can take him down this week. For the last two weeks the standings have remained the same. I'm sorry but Zachs poor vs the Real Mc's performance shouldn't go unpunished! He shall hereby be demoted below the Cowboys. I can't punish you any further, because the Gators simply suck.
